Safeguarding and Child Protection
Safeguarding at Ysgol y LlanAt Ysgol y Llan, keeping our children safe is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a caring, safe and secure environment where every child feels valued and respected. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and all staff, governors and volunteers play an active role in protecting pupils from harm.
We follow Flintshire Local Authority and Welsh Government guidance on safeguarding and child protection. All staff receive regular training and are vigilant in identifying and responding to any concerns.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Mr Williams (Headteacher), and our Deputy DSLs are Mr Thomas and Miss Roberts. The Safeguarding Governor is Mrs Davies
We use CPOMS to record and monitor any safeguarding concerns, ensuring swift communication and action.
If you ever have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child, please contact the school directly or speak with one of the safeguarding team.
Together, we work to ensure that every child at Ysgol y Llan is safe, happy and able to thrive.
