To Ysgol Y Llan,

I just want to say thank you for all the times you’ve been there for me.

When I first started here last year, I didn’t know anyone except Tyla, Abi R, Sian, Lilly and Ana. Everyone else was new to me, but over the year I've been here I have got to know everyone. I made new friends, met new teachers and most importantly, had fun.  Everyone has been really kind to me and has helped me fit in. I've had a really good time here and I think it will be hard for me to leave but this moment occurs in probably everyone’s life. I will miss Ysgol Y Llan very much and it will always have a place in my heart and will never be forgotten.

Thank you for my awesome time here in this school.

From Seren.

BLOG!!!!!

By Tom and Harry J

It is sad that we are leaving because we made friends in different years and we have some good memories from our school. Our school is nice because you know everyone there and you get more opportunities from it. It feels very homely but when we go up to high school it is so much bigger than primary. All the teachers are very nice and look after us well. At dinner, lots of different years play football which is quite nice. It is sad to leave behind what we do every week or even every day. We have been here for quite a lot of our lives so it will be really strange leaving. We really love our school and don’t want to go to high school, but when we get there it will be fun.

To Ysgol Y Llan

We are writing to you all to say thank you for making our time here at Ysgol Y Llan a fun and happy experience. Here are some things that we like most about the school:

We like that it is one big happy family and we also like performing in the school plays and we also like making friends with each other.

Reception
In reception when we first started at the school, we all met each other for the first time. We felt scared at first but then we got use to the older children being around us. After a few weeks or so we became more used to the school and we made more friends and we were one happy class and school like a family, without any problems.

Years 1&2
In years 1&2 we had made all our friendship groups and we had gained a bit more confidence in class and out of class as well. We started to learn the alphabet and some of our times tables and we also started to learn how to write a story. At that time Miss Randall was our class teacher and she was also very caring and she still is to all the classes she has taught. After year one Miss Randall left to have a baby so then we had Mrs Warburton from reception in year 2. But sadly she has now left but she also was very caring.

Years 3&4
In years three and four we had Miss Roberts and we started doing welsh a lot more. And we also started doing fractions which we didn’t understand at first but then we knew what to do. We also started to do more of our times tables. In year four we had Miss Bastow and Mrs Morrell who were great. In year four it got more challenging because the work became harder and we had more responsibilities.

Years 5&6
In years five and six, the work became harder and we all became role models for the whole school. We also had more responsibilities. We learned more things and we had a lot of fun.

What we have done:
We have gone to Nant B H and it was year 4 to 6 that went and we had lots of fun. We also went on lots of school trips which were really fun as well.

The thing I love the most about Whitford School is how everyone is kind and helpful to others and it’s like one big happy family. I also like all the teachers as well because they have taught me everything that we know today and every one of them are very friendly and always there to help if you are sad or need help.
Thank you for a great time at school
