North Wales Police have emailed all Flintshire Primary Schools with the following information. Although the incident was some distance away, we feel that it is important to share this information with parents.
------------------------------------
North Wales Police are investigating an incident which occurred in Mynydd Isa at around 15:45hrs on Wednesday 16th March 2016.

A 10 year old female child was approached by a male in his 40’s who took hold of her coat and asked for her to go with him. The child escaped un-harmed.

The description of the Male is as follows;

White male, pale complexion, approximately 40 years old, approximately 5ft 7 inches tall, medium build and wearing a cream jumper over a blue top, black shoes and he was wearing a gold ring on one of his hands, the suspect spoke in a deep voice and was carrying an orange plastic bag crunched in a ball.

For information and dissemination to parents as necessary.

Good afternoon all.

Below is an email received from the NHS that may be useful to you. I will include the link to the NHS on our Twitter and Website.

Regards

Mr Griffiths

Dear Sir/Madam,

I’m an Online Engagement Coordinator from the Partners in Healthcare (PIH) team for the Welsh Ambulance Service.  Part of the team’s role is to deliver health information through the NHS Direct Wales service (which is part of the Welsh Ambulance Service).

The NHS Direct Wales website is the main NHS portal in Wales for consumer health information and is a source of information that can assist the public in managing their own and their families health.

We are writing to let you know about some of the information and resources available on the NHS Direct Wales website www.nhsdirect.wales.nhs.uk which may be useful for you as a school and to parents/guardians.

The website has an A-Z encyclopaedia of conditions, tests and treatments with topics like head lice and chickenpox .  We also have the full childhood vaccination schedule and information about each vaccine.

One of the newer features is a head lice symptom checker which will allow parents/guardians to assess their child’s symptoms and give useful information and advice on what to do next.

We’d be grateful if you could signpost parents and colleagues to our website.  Also why not follow us on Twitter @NHSDirectWales and like us on Facebook - NHS Direct Wales.

Kind regards,
Nia
