Bora da/Good morning
Well it's the last day of half term and the children are all looking forward to the school disco and breaking up for the holidays.
All staff have worked extremely hard this half term and I wish them a well deserved break.
There will be a few letters/leaflets coming home today, so please ensure that you check your child's bag. A newsletter has been created due to a change in some dates (e.g. World Book Day celebration and PC Sinclair visit) and a couple of interesting competitions that your child may wish to take part in over the half term break; Get Caught Reading (a reading/photograph competition to see how creative the children can be) and the Welsh Wooden Spoon (these will be displayed and judged during our school Eisteddfod).
The newsletter has been emailed to you today but we only have 54 emails on the system. Please ensure that you contact the school office with up-to-date email addresses.
Regarding Breakfast Club changes, the school Governors will be meeting on March 1st to discuss options moving forward. Again, I will keep you informed with any developments. Thank you for sending your responses in.
Lastly, I would just like to say thank you to all of the parents/grandparents that support the school and everything we do. My next meeting with parents will be on Friday 26th February at 2.30pm in the school hall. This is not the usual end of half term gathering due to a meeting that I must attend this afternoon. The next 'Friends of Ysgol y Llan' meeting will also be during school hours on Friday 13th May in the hope that more people can attend and support the good work that goes on within the group.
Have a lovely half term.
Regards
Mr Griffiths
