Well the first day is over with and it seemed to be a happy one!
Lots of children had smiles on their faces and plenty of stories to tell. I'm looking forward to more of the same tomorrow. We're going to have a good year!
Class newsletters and a school newsletter will come out as soon as possible. Please check on the school website and twitter for any other updates. Remember that 'Our Schools App' is also another way of keeping up-to-date. There has been a slight problem with the app of late but I'm sure that's simply because of the high volume of traffic at the beginning of term. We have been reassured that this problem has now been solved.
Roald Dahl's birthday is next Tuesday 13th September. Class 1 will be looking at Roald Dahl over the Autumn term. We are inviting all children to mark the 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl with a fancy dressing up day. Children may come to school dressed as one of their favourite characters but this is not compulsory. There are lots of ideas on http://www.roalddahl.com - maybe they could have a lucky golden ticket, be a smelly twit or even a witch! It's all for fun and could be a piece of creative homework over the next week for them.
Kind regards
Mr Griffiths
