Early Entitlement Provision
At Ysgol y Llan, we are pleased to offer Early Education Entitlement (Early Entitlement) for children aged three years old.
Early Entitlement is a Welsh Government funded programme that provides up to 10 hours of free early education each week during term time. This funding is available to all eligible children from the term following their third birthday and supports their first steps into school life.
Our Early Entitlement sessions provide children with a warm, nurturing and stimulating learning environment, where they begin to develop important early skills through play, exploration and structured activities. Pupils have opportunities to build confidence, develop friendships and experience a gentle introduction to the routines of school.
Children attending Early Entitlement take part in a range of activities designed to support their communication, social skills, creativity and early numeracy and literacy development, in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
At Ysgol y Llan, Early Entitlement sessions run:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:55am – 10:55am
These sessions help children become familiar with the school environment and support a smooth transition into Nursery and full-time education in the future.
If you would like more information about Early Entitlement or would like to discuss a place for your child, please contact the school office and we will be happy to help.
